Canstruction® is a non-profit competition that decreases hunger and fights poverty in cities around the world.
A team of designers, architects, builders and engineers – donate their time to build incredible structures from cans of food. After the structures are built, the cansculptures® go on display to the public as a giant art exhibition. At the end of the event, all food is donated to the Agapè Centre, Cornwall’s largest community food bank. In this city alone, more than 1,000 client visits happen monthly, approximately 38 per cent of them children, are using food-relief programs.
With one can of food as a catalyst for change, Canstruction proves that small acts of kindness improve the lives of people in need. Since 1992, Canstruction has contributed more than 17.5 million pounds of food to food programs around the world, demonstrating that we can win the fight against hunger.
One can make a difference®.
